Captain William Clark  (May 14, 1804)
Thus began one of the most important journeys in the history of the United States and one that changed the boundaries of our country forever.  William Clark , Meriwether Lewis and forty-three other members of this expedition would journey into unknown lands, cross snow-covered mountains, face hostile Indians, in order to reach  the Pacific Ocean. They would then make the return journey and report their findings to President Thomas Jefferson. This webquest will explore their journey and the impact it had on the growth of the United States.  Each one of the following tasks will cover a different aspect of their journey. Some of the tasks will be using the internet but many of them will be interactive stations.  Work with your partner and fill in your answer sheet as you make your way to the Pacific Ocean.
